Fact checking policy

At nbamaniacs, we believe that reporting is not just about transmitting facts, but doing so with accuracy, responsibility, and respect for the reader. That’s why our fact-checking policy is a core part of our editorial identity. Before we publish, we cross-check. Before we share an opinion, we provide context. Before we report, we verify.

Accuracy over urgency

We’re not a media outlet that measures success by speed, but by reliability. We’d rather be late than publish incorrect information. Speed only matters when it doesn’t compromise content quality or factual accuracy.

Minimum double-check rule

Before publishing any news, we require at least one additional source to confirm the information. Whether it’s through reputable outlets, official documents, or verifiable public statements, no data is published without cross-verification.

Conscious source usage

We always identify our sources whenever possible. And when we can’t —due to justified anonymity or confidentiality— we make it clear so the reader has full context. Anonymous sources are the exception, not the rule.

Context matters more than data alone

A fact without context can mislead more than a lie. That’s why we not only verify the data, but also explain it, frame it, and provide analysis to help readers understand its significance.

Ongoing review

We know that information evolves. That’s why our publications are subject to ongoing review and updates. When a story develops or new confirmations come in, we reflect those changes clearly to maintain informational consistency.

No shortcuts, no baseless rumors

We don’t entertain unfounded rumors or publish stories based on speculation. Noise is not part of our job. Publishing with integrity means rejecting speculation without solid evidence — even if it costs us short-term traffic.

Accountability to the reader

Our priority is not to chase clicks, but to earn the reader’s trust. That’s why every piece of information published at nbamaniacs carries a responsibility: to not let down those who read us in search of more than just headlines.
